Notes on sales and marketing tactics of great brands: First thing - A successful brand is made up of cross functional teams with  a clear vision of where they're going.   Additionally they do the following: * Winning brands position themselves powerfully in the minds of customers and within the digtal mediums that they use * Build alliances rather than go it alone by seeking strategic partnerships and creating them with larger more recognized brands * The brand leaders ask powerful questions that result in new sales opportunities * Create a value proposition that neutralizes the competition. There is more to their product than meets the naked eye. * Communicate well and persuasively with customers and the trade * Embrace accountability and responsibility. Legal compliance, corporate responsibility, team responsiveness and proactivity are all par for the course.
