The Consciousness, Intention and Actions to Achieve Diversity and Inclusion

The Consciousness, Intention and Actions to Achieve Diversity and Inclusion   Here is a bold statement: " Diversity is not something that is needed. It already exists."  All we have to do is accept that and use our eyes wherever we can to acknowledge that people are different with unique thoughts, histories and perspectives to contribute. Social consciousness, intention and action to include diversity in the way that business is created, conducted and supplied is the imperative. This means inclusion is: the business design/model, team structures and practices around achieving results. Proof that diversity is a given only requires looking at our global economy. Multicultural Marketing and Engagement:Defining the Segments

Managing and supporting world class brands and emerging businesses with insights and strategies on multicultural marketing and diversity engagement has been one of the great thrills throughout my career.  Th innovation, learning and insights and relationships are unmatched and my view of the world has greater scale and meaning.  If we are to win in our efforts to engage consumers, business partners and employees in North America and global markets, it is important to truly understand the diversity of a ‘’multicultural market.” What follows is a podcast where I talk about this category that has finally emerged as all important to socially propelled businesses and industries across the globe. Excerpt from Faith and Business by Adrienne A. Wallace

I hope you know the secrets of your own heart and can find them in your business life as much as you do in your private spaces. Trust your instincts. Sell only what you would buy. Don't work for anyone who does not think that you deserve to eat what they ask you to hunt. Promote what is real. Maintain your integrity. Be at peace with your God and learn from every experience of embrace or attack. Do the work and perfect your skills. Do it now. Innovate, change, get online and connect. Collaborate. Listen and learn. Write it down. Be humble, but not shy. Be honorable to your customers .. Do not deny your friends or family your time or love. Turn off the smartphone and computers and turn on the laughter. Connect with your heart. Care about your team. You want the same thing. Ask about your clients hobbies and family and mean it. Choose what to cheer and recruit for each day. Understand what requires private counsel. Know who has your back. Have faith in your risks and work fo...

They also do so when they see that shedding domiciled employees or products makes the best financial decision. Here are some indicators for an imminent failure or downsizing. 1) If they MANUFACTURE anything ...they are doing much of it offshore. Think $7.40 a dayin Asia versus $7.40 per hour in the United States. 2) The MANAGEMENT is poor and lacks vision, accountability, integrity, people skills, respect and often times ...diversity 3) There is not and obvious or exercised MORAL foundation under which the company exists and the customers and employes suffer for this. No repeat buys and no motivation and morale 4) MARKETING is a begging line and rarely makes it on the P&L as a cost metric.  There are unrealistic expectations for marketing to do what sales does instead of supporting i...
