TODAY YOU CAN - Tuesday: Jan. 3, 2012

Today YOU CAN:  Rid yourself of insecurity and constant seeking. I think that a happy and healthy person has really made a successful transition into adult life when he/she has learned to maintain personal subsistence and shelter. When a person can be defined by what they contribute to the world and have more personal relationships of good than failure; they are more solid, stable, graceful. When every person; especially the opposite sex is not boxed into having a "role" with that person and allowed to choose and just be a man or woman -- simply a cohabitant in a grand universe, that is adulthood in action. Likewise, a person hasn’t fully matured until he/she has also learned to provide emotional energy for him/herself. Chasing affection, chasing the wrong type of attention, expecting everyone to be interested in you and give specific attention that you are starved for is immature, ridiculous, and can be a big turn-off. Finding the Center - Then and Now

Fl ashback 1996:  There was so much going on and there always is. I woke up. I felt a racing inside.  It was as if the blood inside of me had congealed and taken on race car status.  The rush. I asked myself -  Is this just coming awake?  Or is it that thing called anxiety? Why would I be anxious? I was dutiful, prayerful ( and now still I am) . Push up against the mirror.  Check my pores. Hot rag. Cold rag.  Smooth my brows. Rub the back of my neck. Smile at myself.  Check my booty.  Rise on my toes.  Stretch my body.  Dress. Find my keys Grab my 15 pound bag of books I go.  Day after day ...I went.  One day ... I stopped.  Looked at myself.  Deeper. From Terence A. Scott's upcoming Stripped Awakened 1997 to Present day No that...

Two lists for the " rebirth"

We have the New Year's resolutions, but I exempt myself from that. Too many people jump on that bandwagon and hunker down the wheels such that it is not serious or authentic for most. Then we get this time. Passover and Easter. A time of renewal, birth, rebirth in fact. Realization! This time is tied to all the earth. It is tied not just to humans. It is tied to all life forces and all of nature. I am grateful for this time. The last year of my life has been full with deep contemplation. I have made significant sacrifices, given what I cannot get back, and now I reflect. Out of my egg I come. New relationships, redefined relationships, some things that I will let fall away. New strategy and a select few to support me in adhering to my 2 lists. I share them below. Rebirth!!!!! "List 1: Your Focus List (the road ahead) What are you trying to achieve? What makes you happy? What's important to you? Design your time around those things. Because time is your one limited resource...
