TEAM ON...That's my new team!

TEAM ON...That's my new team! by Adrienne A. Wallace on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 1:05pm · My former client just told me .." You belong to TeamON." I like that. This came out of a discussion about what he should be doing with his data. I told him to hire an analyst who loves and consumes of his brands. The person's role should be to understand the patterns of interaction within the customer database, they should be a strategist as well and be able to develop rules to respond and continually recalibrate with the new learning that comes along. I think that if the work is left to "campaign managers", you will find that they often have a limited view and just want to get it over with. They are not as dedicated, though they will likely be as smart. There focus is limited to numbers and basic deliver and not interaction and qualitative and quantitative or multivariate testing. An analyst with strategic vigor is going t...

Trayvon Martin and Kwame Richards

March 24, 2012     I have so many people asking me for my opinion on this and it is no coincidence that as my family is living through it's own loss and tragedy this week I am numbed by any occurrences of violence and assault on our children. There is no time when it is right. I already know that the killer can no longer live. I know that with every fiber of being who I am and no " justice system" will override th at.    Send your light towards the families suffering loss and towards the children being robbed of their innocence and lives.  They deserve better. Do not let anyone think they can get away with victimizing our children and young black men in particular.   You see an adult give a child a dirty look? Check their asses! You here them say, "those people"... Check their asses.    You find that someone has harmed a child or speaks of intent to? Kick their asses using all the systems and moral code that yo...

Donkey

There was once a donkey that everyone regarded as worthless and one day, the donkey fell in a dry well. The farmers who resented it decided they would leave it there to die.    After two days with no grass and no water they noticed the donkey had not died and in fact was bright eyed and looking up at the sky. One farmer suggested to the other that they bury the donkey by shoveling 200lbs of smelly fe rtilizer, heavy dirt and rock into the well.    They used two shovels and threw all of the rock and dirt into the well. When they were almost done they realized that the donkey was standing beside them looking at them sweating over the well.    Guess why? While they were shoveling their shit the donkey shook it off and allowed it to fall to its feet. The more they shoveled the higher the ground underneath became; allowing for a platform and foundation for the donkey to make it's move....

Teach Me How to Battle

Teach Me How to Battle by Adrienne A. Wallace on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 4:29pm · Teach Me How to Battle... Adrienne shares a thought I was asked the other day if I think that our President will seriously pursue gun bans and revision of laws against them. I think he will do what the power of his office allows. I think WE each must be accountable and do our part. Regular civilians do not need assault rifles or access to them. Period. " I want my right to violence" is absolute bullshit and actually I think a bit sick and a indicative of a  tortured soul. Spare us the Second Amendment talk as well because our history has changed. If you have an assault weapon, respect your community and turn it in at your local police station. When my siblings and I were growing up in Houston we visited the house of a good friend of my Dad's he had "super soakers" for his kids to play with and there were three of them but...

STORM ..thought on Sandy from November 2012

so calm in the midst of Sandy." by Adrienne A. Wallace on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 8:37pm ·  I was asked today how it is that I can be "so calm in the midst of Sandy." My answer: First of all, human reaction is the biggest storm. I contemplated safety and I know what that looks like for me. I talked to the elements of nature that surrounded my property. Yes, I talked to them. Anyone who knows me personally and well knows how it went down. Mother Nature takes the stage every single day and the same peace I have when she casts a rainbow is the same peace I held when trees fell, winds roared, and" electricity"  (not my lights) went out. I had no worry or anxiety towards anything different. A storm does not define me and I am a force of nature just like the wind, the trees, the earth and I decided to be firmly rooted before any elemental change was predicted. My focus has been safety, peace, and this moment. I cannot ...
