Whitney Houston - Feb. 11, 2012

Throughout my entire career, I have held a role that allows me to industrialize art. Be it the packaging, the branding, negotiation of their deal terms, the protection in the mass market, I have taken the gift of artists and helped to commercialize it for sale in some form. There are "celebrities" who are my friends. That said, I feel very deeply for celebrities and how their lives are made into commodity.

I find myself in defense of and full of compassion for people under attack and that includes those whose God given gift and talent is spent for our entertainment.
How often were you lead to smile and come closer to your healing by way of her voice singing one of her songs? How often were your spirits lifted? Can I ask you to lift spirit in her regard today? Be accountable. Can I ask you to speak life when there has been a tragic soul stirring and heart shattering death? For the fans that did not know her personally (that you know are shedding tears); can you imagine the inconsolable grief of her child? Would you every want to add to that? Is that your purpose here? Is it your intention to increase grief to add pain to an already painful situation and to point out vices in the life and times of the deceased and add to the sting of death? Will your tombstone note "assault" and "gossip" as your life's marks? Should it?

Sounds like a plea? It is. STOP! Don't pass the negative images and stories on. No greater test do we have of our moral code and discipline than media and social media today. Measure how much light you transmit. God's grace is managed differently by different people. Kindness is indeed a rarity and people seem to prefer darkness, because perhaps what is perceived as "light" does not garner them as much attention as gossip, grief and disgrace. Awareness is fleeting but the responsibility of each individual. We can do better.

Knowing that everyone is responsible for the energy that they contribute and the energy that they decide to pass on I am compelled to ask all of you sharing your energy with me digitally and otherwise to channel positive and "light" energy to Whitney Houston's family. Right now. In this very moment. A young daughter has lost her mother, a brother lost his sister and a graceful and unconditionally loving matriarch has lost what has always been her baby girl.

We all have a "Whitney" energy in our families and if you say you don't, perhaps it is that you are looking at your family and not realizing that you are their Whitney. Yes.... Your light, your prayers, your thoughts for peace needed and necessary right now.

Have you really listened to the words of "I Will Always Love You" performed by Whitney Houston?

To those of you cosigning or bringing to bare any additional misery on how Whitney Houston's life was lived or how it ended, I am embarrassed for and ashamed of you as a part of the HUMAN FAMILY and I share this:
" Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be . EVERYBODY 's searching for a hero. People need someone to look up to
**** I never found anyone to fulfill my needs
****A lonely place to be
****So I learned to depend on me."

Those are the words!!! Listen up! These are the lyrics we grooved to and sang behind. Dig up your compassion from wherever it may be buried.
The world needs more Agape love! The song is "Greatest Love of All". She asked that of us on her debut into America's music scene. She asked for it in the very beginning. Wake up! Let it begin with you.

I also share the words of her latest recording in words and the video; please pay attention. One's art reveals their soul without accident or coincidence.
"I Look To You" - Whitney Houston

"As I lay me down
Heaven hear me now
I’m lost without a cause
After giving it my all

Winter storms have come
And darkened my sun
After all that I’ve been through

Who on earth can I turn to?

I look to you,
I look to you
After all my strength is gone
In you I can be strong
I look to you,
I look to you
And when melodies are gone,
In you I hear a song
I look to you

***'bout to lose my breath
****There's no more fighting left
****Sinking to rise no more
****Searching for that open door

And every road that I've taken
Led to my regret
And I don't know if I'm go'n make it

Nothing to do but lift my head

My levees are broken
My walls are coming down on me
My rain is falling
Defeat is calling
I need you to set me free
Take me far away from the battle

I need you
Shine on me!"

Indeed may Whitney Houston rest in peace. I am so grateful for her esteemed voice in music and the fact that most all of it earmarked significant moments in my youth and young adult years and my today. What a tremendous gift. My vision is that her soul is cradled in the sheerest most unmistakeable comfort...NOW.

  3. A billion dollar smile and voice now silenced here on earth. Sing with angels above with the cloak of Gods eternal love. Forever Loved forever missed here on earth it now is in heaven to your song you'll give birth.

Show some respect. He is not your companion. He is your Commander -In - Chief.

The blatant and horrid disrespect of our Nation's President started long before the State of the Union address where he was called a " liar"  and continues with  even worse name calling and racial attacks. Our President may be referred to as the following:  " Mr. President", "The Honorable Barack Obama", "His Excellency,  Barack Obama", and of course President Obama.  Nothing less is acceptable. Even referencing him by first name alone (as many people do) is out of line unless you are First Lady Michelle Obama. While I think we are a global family, I also think these ongoing episodes do much to  further segregate America and give it the image of our country as a place of disgrace, disuntity, and hate. Imagine trying to explain it to a 5 year old who followed the campaign and elections with her family and proudly declared that " Our President is Barack Obama and Ms. Michelle looks like my Nana." Just Ask

Just Ask.... The other day I was asked how it is that I am so drawn to the image of Buddah and I responded. " It is a very peaceful image for me." There is a bit of a smile ...or not, but the face looks content and even like a baby. What well person can be upset with a baby? I also cannot help but think of a flower and the humility of growth when I see the image of Buddah. There are several Buddah statues throughout my home. They soften my already softly and thoughtfully appointed living, working, bathing and sleeping spaces. They are comfortable places to be. Buddah was a prince that gave up all of his wordly possessions to have an ultimate peace. All the trappings ...given away. With that thought, I also shared that a flower is something that I wonder if any one human being could be upset with. I think it is nearly impossible to do that too. Perhaps this is because we all know that flowers, as commonplace as they are, do not just occur. They are a part of a miracle. I i

LETTING GO....

L-E-T-T-I-N-G    G-O You have seen these words before..yes? Very simply written in nine letters. “L e tting  go .” Why does it make you uncomfortable?  It is simply an action that you as a human being experience every single day, just by physically and chemically existing.  It is an action that occurs when you have complete trust in your intuition ; that heaven sent voice inside of you. You know the one you may not always agree with, but the angels are so fond of you ..they send it into your ears, head, heart , and sometimes your eyes? If you are reading this your eyes open and they shut very quickly ..it is called "blinking" but in fact it is letting go and it happens very quickly. As we blink old light goes away and we allow new light to come in …seeing the next moment. As you turned on your computer or device you may have pressed a button, touched the screen, flipped a switch. As you clicked on your mouse, stroked and released keys on the keyboard, raised your fin
