TODAY YOU CAN - Tuesday: Jan. 3, 2012

Today YOU CAN:  Rid yourself of insecurity and constant seeking. I think that a happy and healthy person has really made a successful transition into adult life when he/she has learned to maintain personal subsistence and shelter. When a person can be defined by what they contribute to the world and have more personal relationships of good than failure; they are more solid, stable, graceful. When every person; especially the opposite sex is not boxed into having a "role" with that person and allowed to choose and just be a man or woman -- simply a cohabitant in a grand universe, that is adulthood in action. Likewise, a person hasn’t fully matured until he/she has also learned to provide emotional energy for him/herself. Chasing affection, chasing the wrong type of attention, expecting everyone to be interested in you and give specific attention that you are starved for is immature, ridiculous, and can be a big turn-off. Trying to deceive others into believing t...

What is " IT" for me...?

Dear friends, Thank you for BEING here this year, despite your struggles, no matter your failures;  with humility and joy during all of your wins.  There are many people not giving GOOD LOVE in the life that they are living right now. They are angry.  They are upset  about not having material things when they are truly in a space and status that is "above basic" and  they are finding it hard to reflect on what matters.   There are plenty of complaints that 2011 was "not it" for them. The year was supposed to deliver something unto them and somehow failed at it.  The TRUTH is:  LIFE rarely gives us anything  that we don't show up for! When I get to talk to a friend,  that is it for me. When I see my parents, that is it for me. When I have food on my plat e each day not to mention a fridge and pantry of options, that is it for me.  When the children in my life laugh, tell me their stories, cry and seek my comfort...that is it fo...

Elegance in business and life

The topic that has been discussed on my twitter and Facebook since Sunday, 11/13/11 is "elegance." Here is today's blog. There are no coincidences as there are many people working to achieve this. Since we are all a work in progress, I hope it helps. "Elegance" is about how you decide to stand in the spaces that life presents professionally and personally.  Both scenarios are like a glass floor. You exercise grace, care and caution as you walk across it and even when you are  standing still. The greatest and optimum success of your work life will not be determined by your credentials (MBA, PhD, JD, CPA or whatever else): the fact that you know more than others, that you have "backing", or marketing or system building techniques. While these can all be important to  have or cultivate, they alone do not amount to success. It will be determined by your ability to suspend your ego and adopt and authenticate the vision behind the business you ...

Dear death, @ u %# you !

Dear death- You are a scornful and deceptive son of a bitch! You like to come along and rob us of the people we most love at times that we would least expect. Well let me be clear on this: I acknowledge your sad and dreadful way and still you cannot have yesterday, last week, last month, last year, or any of our past and to be completely clear ... You, death cannot suppress a legacy or the memories of those you rob from our lives. No death can ever eliminate LOVE and the celebration of a life that touched us and enriched our time here. We already know that time is infinite, but our bodies are limited. You will not keep us from telling the stories, playing the music, dancing , sharing with the next generation, and you sure enough cannot and will not stop our faith and prayers. You have not suppressed the inspiration; so whenever you come you may take a body, but spirit reigns supreme. And death ...yes we will shed tears but they are not for you. Do what you must. We know we have...

BALANCE AND BREATH

BALANCE AND BREATH AND BALANCE AND BREATH   LIFE!!!!   LIFE ... has a rhythm...   YOU!!!!   YOU... deserve to be here... BALANCE that which you think you must "handle." Feel your breath.  Let others hear you breathe.  You have to allow them to come close for that. Stand in your talent.  Embrace it no matter who is in life's "audience."  And all that you BALANCE will shield and shelter you.  Turn everyone and thing off but this and watch.  Want to share? Tweet

ALL OF US

*Photo  taken by Adrienne A. Wallace There are 7 billion people on the earth that make up "ALL OF US"   We are ALL fractured.  ALL OF US.  For some of us it is so that the light can get in and for others it is because we keep bumping into all the wrong things.  Sometimes you need to look very closely to know that people are not all the same.  Be gentle and save your judgement because it is not a valuable commodity in the process of healing or forgiveness.   Not for you or the 7 billion other earthling's that are on the planet.   May you be well and seek wellness always in ALL ways.   That is  ALL.  ~ Adrienne A. Just Ask

Just Ask.... The other day I was asked how it is that I am so drawn to the image of Buddah and I responded. " It is a very peaceful image for me." There is a bit of a smile ...or not, but the face looks content and even like a baby. What well person can be upset with a baby? I also cannot help but think of a flower and the humility of growth when I see the image of Buddah. There are several Buddah statues throughout my home. They soften my already softly and thoughtfully appointed living, working, bathing and sleeping spaces. They are comfortable places to be. Buddah was a prince that gave up all of his wordly possessions to have an ultimate peace. All the trappings ...given away. With that thought, I also shared that a flower is something that I wonder if any one human being could be upset with. I think it is nearly impossible to do that too. Perhaps this is because we all know that flowers, as commonplace as they are, do not just occur. They are a part of a miracle. I i...
