Violence and a Tan That Does Not Fade

I have so many people asking me for my opinion on this and it is no coincidence that as my family is living through it's own loss and tragedy this week I am numbed by any occurrence of violence and assault on our children. There is no time when it is right. I already know that the killer can no longer live. I know this with every fiber of being who I am and no " justice system" will override th at. Send your light towards the families suffering loss and towards the children being robbed of their innocence and lives.  Why is skin color an  issue STILL? When will content of character and potential be the measure? When will the lives of all youth be so valuable that we allow them to grow up to become adults with developed character? I want it to happen  in my lifetime and the sooner the better. I am doing my part. I let no one mistake me and children under my guard or any child in my presence for being a victim.  I step in.  I believe that there were people who...

Save, Serve or Sever..In the Complicated Miracle

It is easy to look at people and make quick judgments about them. It is easy to see what they are lacking and what is not going to coincide well with who you are. I do it all of the time. This makes me human; a complicated miracle. It is all too often that  people show me a face, send their representatives and in knowing this ..I say that what they are showing me is what I can believe of them. They may show me something they cannot maintain because it is not who they are, they may show traits that they are not aware that they have and the truth is that I AM AWARE and  I tell myself...Don't trust him/her; don't invest too much time or energy.   I do this by simply being me, honoring my values and if someone can grow from the goodness and consistency of wellness that defines me that is great.  If not ..that is great too. There is still a lesson; deeper confirmation and more awareness gained. I am working on this each day and the glass is by no means...

Whitney Houston - Feb. 11, 2012

Throughout my entire career, I have held a role that allows me to industrialize art. Be it the packaging, the branding, negotiation of their deal terms, the protection in the mass market, I have taken the gift of artists and helped to commercialize it for sale in some form. There are "celebrities" who are my friends. That said, I feel very deeply for celebrities and how their lives are made into commodity. I find myself in defense of and full of compassion for people under attack and that includes those whose God given gift and talent is spent for our entertainment. How often were you lead to smile and come closer to your healing by way of her voice singing one of her songs? How often were your spirits lifted? Can I ask you to lift spirit in her regard today? Be accountable. Can I ask you to speak life when there has been a tragic soul stirring and heart shattering death? For the fans that did not know her personally (that you know are shedding tears); can you imagine the ...

The Attack on Womanhood by " so gone" women

I AM outraged and sickened by some of the behavior I have seen by women online in the recent few days. Guess what women? We use social media to post and share at greater portions and frequency than our male counterparts and we could use it for good more so than anything else. It and we are all- powerful tools in social evolution and wellness of our world. Following is my open letter crafted after seeing how some women have chosen humiliation over humility using social media this week and likewise it is for some of you women who are in my opinion "so gone": Dear YOU, And we as women are crafted to be compassionate creatures; allegedly with a mammalian instinct to nurture and protect; not just children --but the Divine intention is for Shakti grace; so we are to protect that which is vital and life affirming amongst each other as women. This is important ESPECIALLY as it applies to other women and children who depend on us to get here and thus impact perception of all hu...

Everyday...

Today  YOU CAN  Tuesday, Jan. 10 2012 - Everyday... by Adrienne A. Wallace    Everyday..... YOU might work, grow, strive... To know what fills your emptiness. To have a clean heart and pristine conscience. To speak to what you know. To be without envy or jealousy. To understand the danger of a loose tongue. To be self aware. To understand and contemplate the consequence of your actions. To create and respect boundaries. To be accountable and transparent. To commit to your alleged role with regard to the values of others. To align only with the best and do your best. To speak only life and confirmation. To be honest. To be responsible for the energy that you bring into any room. To reject gossip and slime. To ask for forgiveness. To respect that there may be a nail in the coffin. To give truthful disclosure. These are the acts of noble, loyal and inspired beings.  - Adrienne A. Wallace

WANTING SOMETHING " DIFFERENT"

I AM moved by the calling and the theme presented this week by some of the most wonderful people I know.  The silent sufferers, the angry one, the searcher and wanderer.  Wonderful and wanting something "different."    You and they are  what I like to call Children of the Divine...just like me.   So,  I have a message for you in the thoughts to follow below ...because we are not that separate and all could use this pause and reflection:  N o matter what side of the aisle you stand on, no matter who or what you pray to, no matter what it is you do for a living,  I do  think you will agree that we often do not know what someone has been presented in our lives to do.  We often put an assignment on people and our terrible E (dging) G (od) O (ut) has us trying to force folks to fit a mold most convenient for us.  Let me assure you that no matter who you are or who you believe yourself to be, that behavior from YOU d...

TODAY YOU CAN - Tuesday: Jan. 3, 2012

Today YOU CAN:  Rid yourself of insecurity and constant seeking. I think that a happy and healthy person has really made a successful transition into adult life when he/she has learned to maintain personal subsistence and shelter. When a person can be defined by what they contribute to the world and have more personal relationships of good than failure; they are more solid, stable, graceful. When every person; especially the opposite sex is not boxed into having a "role" with that person and allowed to choose and just be a man or woman -- simply a cohabitant in a grand universe, that is adulthood in action. Likewise, a person hasn’t fully matured until he/she has also learned to provide emotional energy for him/herself. Chasing affection, chasing the wrong type of attention, expecting everyone to be interested in you and give specific attention that you are starved for is immature, ridiculous, and can be a big turn-off. Trying to deceive others into believing t...
